While the BJP spent more money than other political parties on Facebook political advertisements before the first phase of voting in the Bihar assembly elections, the trend changed before the second phase of voting on November 2. The Congress party has surpassed other political parties in terms of overall spending on Facebook political advertisements between October 26 to November 1. In the week ended November 1, the Congress party was the largest spender with an estimated amount of INR 18,76,875, followed by the BJP and JD(U), which spent INR 693,145 and INR 537, 827, respectively. The LJP spent an estimated amount of INR 384, 438. In the second phase of voting for the Bihar assembly elections, 94 seats are going to polls. The RJD is contesting 56 seats, the BJP is contesting 46 seats, the JD(U) is contesting 43 seats, while the Congress party is contesting 24 seats.
